In the late ‘90s, while working regularly for WNET, Alex tried his luck with a press pass at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade - on rollerblades! Filming the Big Bird balloon and its handlers, he managed to be IN the parade from 81st-42nd street. This film has never been distributed or seen by more than a handful of people (the full film is on Vimeo for anyone interested).
